NEWBERRY - Robert Edward Bartley Sr., 85, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on Sept. 3, 1927, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Robert Benjamin and Rosa Lee Senn Bartley.

Mr. Bartley was retired from Kendall Company where he had worked at the Oakland and Mollohon Plants. He was a member of Epting Memorial United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Newberry Exchange Club.

He is survived by his wife, Frances McEntire Bartley; sons, Benny Bartley of New York, N.Y., Robert E. (Wanda) Bartley Jr., Mac (Cindy) Bartley and Tee Bartley all of Newberry; a sister, Sara Sepulvado of Augusta, Ga.; a brother, Frank Bartley of Newberry; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bartley was predeceased by a sister, Mary Merchant and brothers, Charles Bartley and Heyward Bartley.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Epting Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home.

Active pallbearers will be Jeff Bartley, Keith Bartley, Mike Brehmer, Allen McEntire, Jimmy McEntire, Bart Merchant, Bobby Waters and Brad Waters.
