NEWBERRY — Mr. Raymond Smith Jr. also known as “Hot Papa”, 56, of 744 Fair St., died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at his home. Born in Newberry County, he was the son of Mrs. Mary E. Fielding Smith and the alte Raymond Smith Sr.

He was a member of Elisha A.M.E. Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Linda Nicole Cromer of Newberry; three grandchildren, Zymoria Fleming, Miracle Cromer and Breshawn Nance; stepfather, Joe Louis Williams of Newberry; four brothers, Carter Smith (Nancy) of Kinards, Lancy Smith (Lisa) of Silverstreet, Kenneth E. Smith (Samantha) of Union and Danny Smith (Sharon) of Newberry; sisters, Geraldine Pratt of Silverstreet, Shirley Smith, Connie Smith (Richard), Angela Booker, Jacqueline Taylor (Darrell) and Quinta Hunter, all of Newberry; five aunts, five uncles and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
