PROSPERITY — Bruce P. Radenbaugh, 74, of Prosperity, died Jan. 1, 2013, at Daisy Crossing Farm, Prosperity.
He was born on July 16, 1938, in Saginaw, Mich., the only son of the late Glenn and Dorothy Hagen Radenbaugh.
He was raised in Saginaw and moved to the Carolinas in 1967.
Bruce was an easy person to love and we are saddened to have lost our honored husband, father, grandpa and friend. He was a significant part of our lives helping to better our personal and community character.
Bruce worked for RCA and Whirlpool before becoming owner of Sloan Appliance Service in Columbia. Upon his retirement in 1997, he moved to Prosperity and founded the Daisy Crossing Farm with his wife, Pat.
Bruce was active at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church as a Choir and Men’s Club member. He was also a leader in the Little Mountain Ruritan Club.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Bailey Radenbaugh; daughters, Diane (Doug) Frazee, and Karen (Mark) Lehmann; sons, Jeff (Pam) Radenbaugh, Todd (Michele) Radenbaugh, Scott (Patty Jen) McKee, and Chris (Pamela) McKee; sisters, Lois (Richard) Lind and Joyce (Keith) Hardy.
He was blessed with 11 grandchildren, Brittany and Savannah Radenbaugh, Jasper, Frankie, and Scotty Frazee, Belle and Marcus Lehmann, Jessica and Gabby McKee, and Murphy and Bailey McKee.
The Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Chapin. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. following the Rosary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Andrew J. Vollkommer at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013.
Bruce’s family suggests memorials be made to the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Building Fund, PO Box 549, Chapin, SC 29036; or to the Humane Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 121 Humane Lane, Columbia SC 29209-4605.
