NEWBERRY — Ms. Mercedes D. Henderson, 22, of 2386 Gary’s Lane, Newberry, died Nov. 23, 2012, at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia. Born in Lexington County she was a daughter of Kenneth Henderson Sr. and Mrs. Polli Washington.

Those who celebrate her life cherish precious and loving memories are her mother, Mrs. Polli Washington of Newberry and her father, Mr. Kenneth Henderson Sr. (Valerie) of Newberry; two brothers, Reginald Mayers and Kenneth Henderson Jr. of Newberry; two sisters, Ms. Kennyse L. Hall of Newberry, Ms. Keawana L. Metts of Chapin; maternal grandfather Charles Griffin of Newberry; Paternal grandfather Ernest Chapman (Diane) of Newberry; devoted friend Monte Coleman of Newberry; five aunts, three uncles and a host of cousins and friends.

The family will receive guests at the home of her mother at 1628 Indian Land and at the home of her father at 616 Bush River Road.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at 2 p.m. at New Vision Ministries with burial to follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
