WHITMIRE — Funeral services for Mr. Edward Garnell “Hi Yella” Clark, age 66, will be conducted on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Seekwell Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Clark passed away on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012.

Born in Union County, he was the son of Minerva Hunter Clark and the late Dan Clark Jr. He was a member of Seekwell Baptist Church.

Mr. Clark was predeceased by brothers, Daniel Woodrow Clark and Lloyd Alonzo Clark; mother-in-law, Johnnie Morman; father-in-law, Victor Morman.

Surviving are his wife, Lillie M. Clark; mother, Minerva Hunter Clark; daughters, Gwendolyn Clark of Whitmire; Shonda Clark Smith of Union; sister, Willie Mae Gray; brothers, Alvin (Lynda) Clark; George (Leila) Clark; James Clark; John Robert (Linda) Clark; Ronald (Angela) Clark all of Whitmire; grandchildren, William Smith Jr., Jazmine Smith both of Union; Malik Whitener of Whitmire; Alicia Smith of Union; two uncles, Bedford Hines of Welford, Willis Clark of Whitmire; two aunts, Mildred Clark of Philadelphia, Pa.; Ella Giles of Winston-Salem, NC; sisters-in-law, Victoria M. Fitzgerald and Millie Morman both of Union; Helen Ball of Philadelphia, PA; Betty Parrish of Jacksonville, Fla.; brother-in-law, James Morman of Spartanburg; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
