The new YMCA sign went up onto the main building Tuesday morning with the help of a couple of Newberry Electric Cooperative workers who also put up a new sign on the building at the pool later in the day. The new signs have the new logo on them and were created locally by Plasma Signs.
Newberry Electric Cooperative workers put the finishing touches on the installing the new YMCA sign on the Newberry YMCA on Jollystreet Road on Tuesday morning. The old sign and old logo had been on the building since it was built. Both the newer building and the swimming pool building now feature the new sign with the new logo. Newberry YMCA Director Eric Nelson said the new logo will replace the old logo on Y materials by 2015.
