NEWBERRY — Newberry High School’s golf team defeated Ninety Six at The Country Club of Newberry by a score of 171-192 on Tuesday.
Newberry’s Zack Sherman, Caleb Hedgepeth, Sloan Hazel and Jacob Hopper combined scores of 171 keeps the Bulldogs undefeated record at 7-0 and 3-0 in the region.
Newberry High Coaches Robert Bannister and Gary McGlohorn said, “These seniors are the ones that they have had on the team since they were in the eighth grade. They know how important it is to play as a team.”
The Bulldogs traveled to Saluda on Thursday to take on the Tigers at Persimon Hill.
