PROSPERITY — The Mid-Carolina Middle School seventh-grade and eighth-grade football teams wrapped up their seasons for 2012 with a 4-1 record for the seventh-graders and a 3-5 record for the eighth-graders.
Coach Daniel Wicker became the all-time winningest seventh-grade coach at Mid-Carolina Middle this season. He has more wins in seventh-grade football at MCMS than any other coach who has ever coached a MCMS seventh-grade team. The past two seasons Wicker and his teams were 9-1. Wicker was aided by Assistant Coach Joshua Noble.
The 2012 Mid-Carolina Middle School seventh-grade football team consisted of Jalen Bates-Caldwell,Chase Berry, Jonathan Bickley, Rodrick Byrd, Dillon Cromer, Miles DeWalt, Clifton Gallman, Jr., Reginal Gallman, Destry Godfrey, Hunter Graham, Curtis Graham, Jacob Harmon, Mason Hawkins, Deandre Henley, Noah Hydrick, Connor Jackson, Isaiah Johnson, Marshall Johnson, Hunter Key, Sam Koon, Bradley Lawrence, Jackson Lominick, Jake Longshore, Matthew Mature, Grey Morris, Dean Morse, Lance Perrell , Collins Remion, Jacob Riddle, Cade Ruff, Evan Ruff, Hunter Sanders, Bennett Sease, Derek Senn, Darell Sims, Casey Snelgrove, Kristopher Spicer, Austin Summer and Gabriel Trainor.
Star players for the seventh-grade team were:
• Reginal Gallman, 252 yards, rushing leader
• Cade Ruff, two interceptions and team leader
• Reginal Gallman, six touchdowns for 2012 and team leader
• Quarterback Cade Ruff, 352 yards passing and team leader
• Jalen Bates Caldwell, 241 yards, seven receptions and 2012 team leader
The eighth-grade boys set a record for the second highest total tackles in a season with Iyon Thompson in 2012 and Rashon Graham in 2011 with 44 tackles a piece. Head Coach Jared Jones was aided by Assistant Coach Dan McGlohorn and Assistant Coach David Meetze.
The 2012 Mid-Carolina Middle School eighth-grade football team consisted of Amir Amaker, David Bendenbaugh, Samuel Bouknight, Jevon Boyd, Reid Brigman, Sean Brooks, Darrius Brown , Mitchell Brown, Joseph Cook, Andrew Cromer, Ethan Day, William Fine, Kyzer Fulmer, Cornelius Gallman, Jacob Garner, Jalen Glymph, Damien Gorie, Zachary Hentz, Andrew Higgens, Darrian Kern, Markevis Kirkland, Carver Koon, Terrell Long, Kadarious Maybin, Albert Moore, Chase Murray, Austin Platts, Jonathan Richardson, Hogan Sanders Joshua Simmons, Corey Stone, Iyon Thompson, Zachary Thompson, John Steven Trammell, Caleb Ulch, R.J. Wadsworth, Michael Wagner, Cody Wicker, Jacob Wicker, Jaquez Williams, Jaterran Wise and Gregary Wright.

• Jevon Boyd, 444 yards rushing for the season
• Zachary Hentz, two interceptions on the season and team leader
• Jevon Boyd and John Steven Trammell, four touchdowns each and team leaders
