PROSPERITY — The Mid-Carolina Middle School seventh-grade and eighth-grade football teams wrapped up their seasons for 2012 with a 4-1 record for the seventh-graders and a 3-5 record for the eighth-graders.

Coach Daniel Wicker became the all-time winningest seventh-grade coach at Mid-Carolina Middle this season. He has more wins in seventh-grade football at MCMS than any other coach who has ever coached a MCMS seventh-grade team. The past two seasons Wicker and his teams were 9-1. Wicker was aided by Assistant Coach Joshua Noble.

Star players for the seventh-grade team were:

• Reginal Gallman, 252 yards, rushing leader

• Cade Ruff, two interceptions and team leader

• Reginal Gallman, six touchdowns for 2012 and team leader

• Quarterback Cade Ruff, 352 yards passing and team leader

• Jalen Bates Caldwell, 241 yards, seven receptions and 2012 team leader

The eighth-grade boys set a record for the second highest total tackles in a season with Iyon Thompson in 2012 and Rashon Graham in 2011 with 44 tackles a piece. Head Coach Jared Jones was aided by Assistant Coach Dan McGlohorn and Assistant Coach David Meetze.

• Zachary Hentz, 133 Yards, 10 receptions and team leader
