NEWBERRY — Newberry High School Bulldogs (6-0) defeated Batesburg at The Ponderosa Golf Club 174-186 on Thursday.
Newberry High School player Zack Sherman shared medalist honors by scoring a 38. Caleb Hedgepeth, Sloan Hazel and Jacob Hopper helped defeat The Panthers at their home course.
The Bulldogs will host Ninety Six and Union County in a tri-match on Tuesday. Coaches Robert Bannister and Gary McGlohorn said, “This team plays well together as a good team should and we believe they will have a very successful year, especially as we get closer to the region championship.”
