NEWBERRY — Newberry Middle School cheerleaders have had a productive and exciting year. The Tiger cheerleaders participated in all home football and basketball games for the 2012-13 school year.
With the help of Kelli Farmer, former Clemson University Cheer coach and Newberry Middle principal, the squad was able to perform a variety of stunts and cheers.
Paketrice Jones assisted the cheer squad during basketball season. The girls choreographed their own spirit dances that were performed during halftime of basketball games. Each cheerleader participated in a fundraiser for the athletic department and is excited about what is in store for the NMS cheer squad.
The squad consists of Coach Cristin Atchison, Ashlei Gallman, Shakira Dewalt, Shakeiva Boyd, Cade Caldwell, Tomeria White, Audrey Mercer, Mahogony Cromer, Cheyenne Neal, Aymi Brown, Katie Chappell, Jaci Koon, Bryshari Neal and Azaria Davenport.
