The Midstate Quail and Dove Banquet was attended by the largest number of people in the club’s history. The Friday night banquet included a prime rib meal, door prizes and live and silent auctions.

The Newberry County Jaycees worked the bar at the event to raise money for the many projects they conduct in the community.

Midstate Quail and Dove organizers Dr. Bobby Livingston and Billye West look over their notes before the auction begins.

Mid-Carolina graduates and teammates Jackson Swindler, left, and Chase Hamm talk during the banquet. Hamm was home from the St. Jude’s Hospital, where he has been a patient, and enjoyed catching up with those at the banquet. Swindler is now attending Newberry College. Both Hamm and Swindler have a passion for hunting and fishing.

Midstate Quail and Dove Chairman Donnie Brown, left, talks with former baseball pro Billy O’Dell who signed a ball to be auctioned at the event.

Many items like this turkey hunting trip in Chappells were auctioned off during the event.
