Salvation will produce a clean heart. A clean heart will be fixed upon God and the things of God.
“Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8
Salvation will produce a clear conscience. Our conscience will let us know right from wrong. It will let us know that we should treat God and others right.
“And herein to I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.” Acts 24:16
Salvation will produce a clean mind. We can live with a clean mind.
“Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
Salvation will produce a clean body. We should lay aside our own desire and trust Christ to use us for his glory. If we allow God to work through our lives and our bodies, he will be glorified. We should yield ourselves to Christ.
“But I keep my body, and bring it unto subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” I Corinthians 9:27
It’s only through and by the grace of God that we can have a clean heart, a clear conscience, a clean mind and a clean body. Within ourselves we can do nothing, but with Christ we can do all things.
