NEWBERRY — Charles Weathers returns to Newberry on Wednesday to discuss more strategies for a more positive Newberry County.
Weathers will talk about the effectiveness of leadership in a topic called The Able Leader from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Community Hall, 1209 Caldwell St. A morning and afternoon session will be available for those who can’t stay the entire time.
In addition to community stakeholders and local leaders engaging in quarterly discussions and strategy sessions, this month’s forum will also provide training on critical skills that leaders can embrace to maximize their community engagement efforts.
Weathers came to Newberry in 2012 for an all-day event in which community members and leaders discussed how to make Newberry better. This second visit is sponsored by the Newberry County Coalition on Underage Drinking.
Weathers is president of The Weathers Group in Columbia and is a motivational businessman.
