NEWBERRY — Mr. Freddie Reeder, 63, of Highway 39, Cross Hill, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. Born in Chappells, he was the son of the late John Henry Reeder and the late Ruth Brown Reeder and former husband of Geneva Reeder.

He was a member of St. Vaughnville Baptist Church in Chappells.

His sister, Melvin Louise Mims and three brothers, John E. Reeder, Willie R. Reeder and Robert Langford, preceded him in death.

Surviving are two sons, Keith Reeder and Fredrick Reeder of Cross Hill; daughter, Lakela Martin of Charlotte, N.C. and foster daughter Sasha King of Spartanburg; five brothers, James Reeder (Bessie), Alvin Smith of Chappells, Otis Langford (Linda), Gregg Langford (Doris) and Ronald Langford (Rose), all of Newberry; 11 sisters, Effie Simpson (Lewis), Katie Toland (Joe) of Clinton, Carrie Long of Spartanburg, Willie Mae Bouey of Mountville, Janice Wilson (Larry) and Debra Langford of Newberry, Lula Ree Crawford, Daisy Mae Smoot (Harold) of Cross Hill, Annie Mae Brown of Chappells, Benzelene Sutton and Barbara Riley of New York, N.Y.; mother-in-law Ora Bell Cunningham of Chappells; sisters-in-law, Jessie Longshore, Shirley Miller and Willie Belle Langford of Chappells, Maynell Reeder of Spartanburg and Carolyn Reeder of Laurens and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services and burial will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Vaughnville Baptist Church. Viewing one hour prior. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home of Newberry.
