CHAPPELLS — Mr. Robert Lee Langford Sr., of 1517 Goggins School Road, Chappells, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Chappells, he was the son of the late Mr. John Henry Dominick and the late Mrs. Lee Ruth Langford.
He was a member of St. Vaughnville Baptist Church and also a member of the All Male Choir. He was also a member of Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Independent and Free Masons of S.C., Chappells Lodge #1.
Mr. Langford retired from the Savannah River Plant.
His brother, Sherman Chandler and a grandson, Reginald Lindsey, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Willie Bell Cunningham Langford of the home; four sons, Michael Johnson of Charlotte, N.C., Robert Langford Jr. (Peggy) of Silverstreet, Tyron Langford of Jacksonville, Fla. and Anthony Langford of Chappells; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Otis Langford (Linda), Ronald Langford (Rose) and Gregory Langford (Doris) all of Newberry; four sisters, Willie Mae Bouey of Mountville, Janice Wilson (Larry) and Debra Langford, all of Newberry, and Angel Matthews of Philadelphia, Pa.; mother-in-law, Mrs. Ora Bell Cunningham; aunt, Mrs Hattie Pinson; three brohters-in-law; three sisters-in-law and loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services and burial will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Vaughnville Baptist Church in Chappells. Viewing one hour prior to the service.
