Shannon Nicole Meetze of Little Mountain and Jesse Dean Clayton of Little Mountain were united in marriage on Feb. 9, 2013 at 5 p.m. at Pine Island Club in Columbia. The ceremony was performed by Pastor Ken Kelly.

The bride is the daughter of John and Elizabeth Cumalander of Little Mountain and Michael and Nancy Meetze of Elgin. She is the granddaughter of the late Robert and Patricia Watson, Marion and Faye Meetze, Wayne and Kay Richardson, and the late John E. Cumalander Sr. and the great-granddaughter of Annie Mae Meetze.

The groom is the son of Tom and Shari Duckworth of Worthington, W.Va., and Mike and Kay Clayton of Prosperity. He is the grandson of Kelly and Margalo Clayton and the late John and Edith Luchuck.

The groom is a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School and Midlands Technical College. He is employed by Cassell Brothers Heating and Cooling, LLC. The bride is a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School and is a certified Professional Coder through the American Academy of Professional Coders. She is employed by the U.S.C. School of Medicine’s Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.

The bride was escorted by her son Jonathan and given by her fathers Mike and John. Her matron of honor was Christy Jeffcoat of Chapin and her bridesmaids were Holly McGinn, Kayla Shepard and Jamie Purcell of Little Mountain, Brittany Paul of Pomaria and Kelly Hamilton and Danielle Burnside of Prosperity. Her junior bridesmaids were Madison Clayton of Little Mountain and Baylee Hamilton of Prosperity. The flower girl was Rylee Jeffcoat of Chapin.

The best man was Tom Duckworth of Worthington, W.Va. The groomsmen were, Randy Rauch of Chapin, Matthew Browder and Ashley Cassell of Little Mountain, Miles Baltzegar of Ballentine, Guy Pitts and Chris Snipes of Columbia. The junior groomsmen were Jonathan Meetze of Little Mountain and Hunter Jeffcoat of Chapin. The ring bearer was Dillon Hamilton of Prosperity.

Music was provided by Frank Parker Entertainment.

After a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple will reside in Little Mountain.
