NEWBERRY — Casandra Cae Laster, 42, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on June 3, 1970, in Columbus, Ohio, she was a daughter of Bill B. and Donna J. Corbin Laster of Greenwood. Miss Laster was a graduate of Mauldin High School and was a graphic design student at Piedmont Technical College where she was also a member of the Photography Club.

She is survived by her parents, Bill and Donna Laster of Greenwood, a sister, Penny (Will) Bryant of Fountain Inn; a niece, Victoria Laster and a nephew, T.J. Bragg; her partner, Jessie Stevens.

A memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Serenity Chapel, 1109 Speer St., Newberry, SC. Memorials may be made to the Piedmont Technical College Foundation Casandra Laster Memorial Scholarship Fund, PO Box 1467, Greenwood, SC 29648.
