COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Herman Carl Kinard, 85, were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel with interment in Bush River Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Bobby Householder, Todd Fulmer, Michael Fulmer, Marty Fulmer, Tarry Long and Tommy Long.

The family received friends after the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Kinard was born April 18, 1927 in Prosperity, and passed away on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013. He was a son of the late Herman J. Kinard and Isabell Metts Kinard. Mr. Kinard was an avid fisherman, Braves fan and Clemson fan. He retired from PET Dairy after 30 years. He was a World War II Veteran. Mr. Kinard loved carving wood and made his own fishing lures.

Mr. Kinard is survived by his beloved four legged companion, Booger; son, Carl and Myra Kinard; daughter, Brenda and Larry Mack; son, Billy and Amy Kinard and son, Ricky Kinard; grandchildren, Kevin and Ashley Lindler, Lori Mack, Heather and Walker Suits; Stephanie Kinard, Samantha Kinard, Matthew Kinard, Allen Kinard, Andy Kinard and Alex Kinard; four great-grandchildren and faithful fishing buddy, Earl Long; sisters, Florence Householder, Hazel Wicker and Dorothy Nell Fulmer; brothers, Wayne Kinard, Ronnie Kinard and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Louise Long Kinard and second wife, Janie Suber Kinard and brother, Larry Kinard.
