LEXINGTON — Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Matthews, age 84, will be conducted on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Lever Chapel A.M.E. Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Matthews passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Lexington Extended Care.

Born in Prosperity, she was the daughter of the late Brady Gallman and the late Lucille Shealy. Mrs. Matthews was a member of Lever Chapel A.M.E. Church.

Surviving are one son, Johnny M. Gallman of Philadelphia, Pa.; two sisters, Annie L. Dominick of Newberry,and Virginia Gallman of Prosperity; one brother, George Gallman of Prosperity; five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Sadie Gallman of Prosperity; nieces, nephews, and friends.
