The following people were booked into the Newberry County Detention Center. All persons are innocent until proven guilty.

S.C. Highway Patrol

Eleanor Caroline Taber, 47, was charged with pedestrian under influence of alcohol or drugs, upon highway and open container of beer or wine in motor vehicle.

Newberry Police

David Louis Werts, 66, was charged with shoplifting, value $2,000 or less and trespassing.

Brittany Corinne Berley, 22, was charged with public disorderly conduct and drinking alcoholic liquors in public.

Dyamond Danielle Moore, 19, was charged with public disorderly conduct and drinking alcoholic liquors in public.

Johnathan Marquis Baxter, 25, was charged with burglary, first degree assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct and possession of weapon during the commission of a violent violent crime.

Newberry County Sheriff’s Office

Chanukah Yaquie Brink, 40, was charged with forgery.

Tavis Jaquez Werts, 20, was charged with a family court bench warrant for failure to pay child support.
