KINARDS — Marvin Adams, 69, died in his home Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012.

Marvin was born Aug. 27, 1943, in Saluda, the son of the late Travis Adams and Jeanette Adams Roe.

He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. Marvin was a family man who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Leaphart Adams; children, Joseph (Kristi) Adams of Jalapa, Rhonda Adams, Rebecca (Josh Wilbanks) Adams, Jacob Adams all of Kinards, and an adopted son, Brandon Simons of Kinards; grandchildren, Hunter, Dillon, Savanna, and Shana; siblings, Ernestine (John) Chrisely and Brooks (Patsy) Adams all of Saluda.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Saluda.

Visitation was held 5:30 to 7 p.m., Thursday, at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry.

Pallbearers will be Keith Leaphart, Josh Wilbanks, Brandon Simon, and Anthony Leaphart.
