NEWBERRY —Margaret “Peggy” Hutchinson Schumpert, widow of Robert Dennis “Bob” Schumpert died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Palmetto Richland Heart Hospital.

Mrs. Schumpert was born in Chester, a daughter of the Late Cyril McKeene and Mary Sue Stuckey Hutchinson.

She is survived by her four children and their spouses Susan McKeene Schumpert, R. Young and Cindy Schumpert, Lucia M. and Randall Renwick, and Claude H. and Melissa Schumpert. She was predeceased by a daughter, Dennis S. Byrd. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Travis Renwick, Nicholas Renwick, Alexis (Robert) Bayer, Lindsay Schumpert, Lara Lee Schumpert, Kelsey Byrd, Austin Byrd, Ashton Schumpert, and Logan Schumpert, as well two great-grandchildren, Dainton Byrd and Emma Racine. She is also survived by a sister, Mary Sue Clary, an aunt Margie Stuckey of Hartsville, a cousin Suzanne Smith of Rock Hill, and a niece and nephews. She was also predeceased by a sister-in-law, Claudia S. Hinson and an uncle Thurston Stuckey.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the home 800 Caldwell St. on Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The family requests memorials be made to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 1515 Boundary St., Newberry, SC 29108 or to the Friends of the Newberry County Library, 1100 Friend St., Newberry, SC 29108.
