Grays celebrate 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Plato “Otto” Gray will be celebrating their 50th anniversary on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at 2 p.m.

They will be renewing their vows at Wiles Chapel on the campus of Newberry College in Newberry where they have made their home and raised their family.

Plato or “Otto,” as he is affectionately known, is currently employed with Newberry College after retiring from a 30 plus year career with the City of Newberry.

Narvis retired from Damon International after many years of dedicated service. Since retirement, they have enjoyed traveling and spending time with their family and friends.

They have three daughters, Gaynelle Moon (Oscar Jr.), Linda Kibler (James) and Audrey Eigner (Tony) and two sons, Richard Grey and Rodney Grey Sr. (Missy), all of Newberry.

They have 11 grandchildren, Erica and Nala Moon, Mizpah “Missy” Tribble, JaMarcus Crey, Trahjare Reeder, Jamel Kibler, Ivory Grey and Zion Eigner, Rodney Jr., Faith and Imani Grey. They have two great-grandsons, Jalen R. Jackson of Newberry and Brayden Grey of Orangeburg.

On their 50th anniversary, they will be celebrating with family and friends with a reception following in the Newberry College Dining Hall. Happy 50th anniversary, Plato and Narvis Gray.
