PROSPERITY — The story of Jesus’ birth will come alive once again this year as Grace Lutheran Church in Prosperity presents a live nativity this weekend.

The annual event will feature a drama involving 35 to 50 church members and live animals. The livestock will include a donkey, camel, sheep and a cow.

The live drama has been produced by the church for 18 years with over 5,000 people being a part of the annual event.

The production, which is about a half hour long, will start at 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the church located at Grace Street and U.S. 76.

There is no cost to view the drama and hot chocolate will be provided. Also children will get a small gift when they attend.

Some chairs will be provided for those viewing the drama of the birth.
