Congratulations to Walt Richardson and his environmental Science students for receiving a 2012 Keep Newberry County Beautiful Community Accomplishment Award from the Newberry Soil and Water Conservation District. Richardson’s environmental science class has been actively involved in paper recycling since February. Students go around and collect the discarded paper from the recycling baskets throughout the building. The Mid-Carolina High recycling program has recycled more than 2,000 pounds of paper since it began.
