NEWBERRY — A Newberry man is facing charges after pulling out in front of a police officer on Monday.

A 84-year-old man was ticketed with failure to yield the right-of-way in the wreck.

The Bay Street man pulled out from Bank of American on Wilson Road around 9 a.m. and into the path of Newberry Patrolman Desiree Busko.

Busko collided with the left quarter panel of the man’s car, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol, who investigated the collision.

The officer suffered a minor injury to the arm.
