PROSPERITY — A home was damaged by a Monday afternoon fire.

Friendly and Prosperity firefighters responded to the late afternoon fire at a single wide mobile home on Highway 395 at Mendenhall Road.

The fire started due to an electrical issue under the home, according to Prosperity Assistant Fire Chief Kyle Vaughn.

The blaze burned through the floor and the back wall. After extinguishing the flames to the back of the house the firefighter riped into the underpinning to fight the fire there.

The home sustained moderate damage by the fire, said Vaughn.

No one was injured in the blaze.
