Safe Kids to be held Halloween

NEWBERRY — An alternative or addition to trick-or-treating this year will the annual Halloween Safe Kids event at the hospital.

The carnival will be in the back of the hospital and go from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

The event will be in the Evans Street parking lot and will be loaded with games and candy.

In addition to the hospital staff providing fun and games, public safety officers will also join the event.

The annual costume contest will be held at 6:30 p.m. for newborns to 12 year olds.

The event draws more than 1,000 people each Halloween.
