NEWBERRY — Hospice Care of Tri County will offer a volunteer orientation for those willing to donate their time and talents. Volunteers are asked to spend approximately two-hours per month with patients.
As a volunteer, the most important thing you will be asked is to be a friend to those in need. Friendship roles may include holding someone’s hand, sharing their memories and providing respite for the caregiver.
Caution: you will be loved in return — it’s mutually rewarding for patient and volunteer.
Volunteer training to be held Nov. 10 from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Training is free for those interested in becoming a volunteer with Hospice Care of Tri County. Food and refreshments will be provided. If you can’t make this date, please let us know and we can arrange one-on-one training.
Training will be conducted at our Newberry Office at 13795 C.R. Koon Highway in Newberry. Please RSVP by Nov. 8 by contacting Theresa at 321-0341 or email at thalfacre@msa-corp.com
