PROSPERITY — Diane Morris Dennis passed away at her home Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, after a lengthy illness. She was 66 years old.

Born on July 26, 1946 in Prosperity, she was the daughter of the late Herman E. and Hester Lee Morris.

Diane loved to work in her yard and tend her flowers. She was also a devoted cat lover. Diane worked for over 30 years at the Old School Manufacturing as well as working as an administrative assistant with other businesses.

Diane is survived by her husband of 49 years, Milton Dennis; a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony M. and Missy Dennis; brothers, Steve Morris and his wife, Liz Morris and Marvin Morris.

She was predeceased by her sister, Annette Morris.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Zion United Methodist Church. The family will be at the home of Anthony and Missy Dennis, 5995 S.C. Highway 391, Prosperity, and will receive friends Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home from 6–7:30 p.m.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude and appreciation for all the care given to her during her last days. Special thanks is given to Newberry Oncology, Newberry County Memorial Hospital Chemotherapy, Rev. David Taylor, Newberry Internal Medicine, Dr. Alan Paysinger, Lake Murray Rescue Squad, Hospice Care of Tri-County, Angel Care and family and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Robert Dennis, Bobby Dennis, Terry Morris, Earl Dominick, Kevin Lever, Wayde Dominick, Garrett Johnson and Lawrence Lever.
