PROSPERITY — Wright Middle School defeated Mid-Carolina Middle in eighth grade football on Thursday in Abbeville.
The middle school Rebels scraped by with a score of 30-6. The Rebels touchdown was in the second quarter.
While the eighth grade Rebels only managed a touchdown, Wright Middle kept on scoring throughout the game.
The solo touchdown for MC was scored by John Steven Trammell on a five yard run.
Other offense stats for MC include quarterback, Corey Stone who was 6/9 for 30 yards with two interceptions.
Also, Jevon Boyd for MC rushed eight times for 31 yards.
On the defense end for MC, Damien Gorie led with nine tackles but Al Moore wasn’t too far behind with seven tackles.
R.J. Wadsworth managed to recover a fumble from Gorie’s third quarter strip.
MC’s eighth grade football is 2-5 so far this season.
