NEWBERRY — Police are searching for a suspect on attempted murder charges and have arrested another who shot at people gathered at a party Saturday in the West End community.

Around 5 p.m. Saturday Quentin Graham, 29, of Moses G Lane, Silverstreet, and Carlos Demot Reeder, 23, of Newberry, went to a get together they were not invited to on Rodelsperger Street, according to Newberry Police Captain Kevin Atkins.

The two men were reportedly turned away from the party and retaliated by shooting at the crowd.

No one was hit by the flying bullets, said Atkins.

Graham and Reeder are both being charged with two counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and discharging a firearm into a dwelling.

Newberry Police have taken Graham into custody.

Police are still looking for Reeder and say they believe he is armed and dangerous.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Reeder is asked to call police at 911 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CrimeSC.

Atkins warns people not to approach Reeder but to notify police of where he is.
