NEWBERRY — Funeral services for Mr. James Jimmy “Pie Joe” Wise, 65, will be conducted on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at 2 p.m. at James Hopewell Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Wise passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at his home. Born in Newberry County, he was the son of Thomas B. Wise and the late Neomia Bookman Wise. He was a member of James Hopewell Baptist Church and Sons of Aide.

Surviving are his wife, Martha Ann Stephens Wise; daughter, Sandra Wise; sons, James Arthur Wise of Newberry, Harold Scott of Columbia; reared in the home, Demetrious Wilson, Timothy and Michael Wise of Prosperity; sisters, Mary Lee Wise, Mattie Wise, Jessie Hawkins, Beatrice Wise, Thomasina Longshore (Michael) and Anna Kay Wise; brothers, Virgil Wise (Betty), Thomas Wise Jr., William Lee Wise and James Wise all of Prosperity; three grandchildren, Lydia Wise, Alexis Wise and Josiah Wise; two great-grandchildren, Keyonna Langford and Jada Wise; three sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
