Saturday is the last day to register to vote for the Nov. 6 general election.
The Newberry County voter registration office, located at 1927 Wilson Road, will be opened on Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon.
According to Shanna Proctor with the voter registration office, people may register online, in person or they may submit their forms via traditional mail.
However, Proctor says, “The mail must be postmarked Oct. 6.”
That means that people may go by the post office on Saturday at the last minute and still be registered to vote in this upcoming election as long as the envelope has the Oct. 6 postmark.
People may visit www.newberrycounty.net/voter for a registration or change of address form or they may visit www.scvotes.org for more information regarding registration, ballots, how to vote, candidate information, etc.
There is also a list of candidates for Newberry County residents on the Newberry County voter registration site.
People may call Newberry County’s voter registration office at 321-2121 for more information.
