PROSPERITY — Mid-Carolina varsity volleyball team defeated Ninety-Six 3-0 in volleyball.

The match scores were 25-13, 25-23 and 25-19 with Mid-Carolina winning all of the games.

The win improves Mid-Carolina’s record to 8-2 for the season and 4-2 in region play.

Mid-Carolina hosted region opponent Saluda on Tuesday.

Leaders in serving for MC in the game with Ninety-Six were Ashley Lake who was 15/15 with an ace, Kelsey Bailey was 14/14 with two aces, Whitney McConnell went 13/13 with three aces, Chelsie Walling was 10/11 with two aces, Laken Riddle went 9/10 with two aces and Alix Green was 7/8 with an ace.

Leaders in digs for MC were Walling with six, Green with five, Bailey had three, Riddle made three, McConnell had three and Lake made three.

Leaders in passing for MC were Lake with 8/9, Courtney Sanders went 7/7, Shelby Woods was 4/4, Bailey was 6/7,Riddle was 8/10 and Green passed 8/10.

Leaders in hitting for the Rebels were Taylor Livingston with 10/10, Bailey was 8/8 and Walling was 29/33.

Leaders in kill assist were Green- 25 and Lake- 15.

Leaders in blocks was Livingston-with wight.

With this win Thursday night the Lady Rebels are now tied for second place in the region with Ninety-Six.

The Lady Rebels hosted region opponent Saluda on Tuesday.
