Jesus tells us to let our light so shine that others may see our good works and glorify the Father.

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16

We are to be a city set on a hill showing the world that Jesus lives within our hearts.

Does our light shine bright or is it a small flicker.

If we are not careful, things in this life will dim our lights, but God has made a way that our light can always burn bright. his word is fuel for our soul and if we obey what it says our light will shine for Jesus.

We need to remind ourselves of the song we sang as children. This little light of mine I’m gonna let it shine. This little light of mine I’m gonna let it shine. Let it shine ‘til Jesus comes; I’m gonna let it shine.
