PROSPERITY — Ruby Eudora Amick Fulmer, 93, formerly of 2270 Macedonia Church Road, Prosperity, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at the Heritage at Lowman.

She was born on Dec. 2, 1918 in Lexington County, a daughter of the late Seber Franklin and Minnie Mae Amick.

Mrs. Fulmer graduated from Columbia Hospital in 1941 and worked as a registered nurse. She was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church, where she was a life member of the Ladies’ Missionary Society and a former Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the American Legion.

She is survived by; children, Judy Carlisle Fulmer Bobb of Newberry; Leon F. (Brenda F.) Fulmer, Sr. of Prosperity; and Retha Fulmer (J. Steven) Frick of Little Mountain; sister, Cleo A. Wise of Prosperity; brothers, Seber R. Amick of Prosperity, Cecil Voight Amick of Columbia, and Vern F. Amick of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Leon (Meredith) Fulmer Jr. of Prosperity, Lynnette (Todd) Lever of Pomaria, and Rhonda (Eddie) Cannon of Little Mountain; great-grandchildren, William F. “Will” and Shelby G. Lever, Leon “Lee” Fulmer III, Timothy Carlyle “Lyle” Fulmer, and Noah R. Fulmer, and David L. and Mary R. Cannon.

She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Julius Carlisle Fulmer; sister, Rosaline S. Ringer; brothers, Odis Leroy Amick and Elbert Cornell Amick; and son-in-law, Frederick Bobb.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Macedonia Lutheran Church by the Rev. Randall Derrick. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry.

Pallbearers will be Donald Wise, Dean Wise, Brian Amick, Larry Amick, Roy Fulmer, Freddie Fulmer, Claude Lindler, and Rodney Bedenbaugh.
