A fusion of funk, rock, gospel, rhythm and blues metal and jazz is combined in the band Mother’s Finest.

A great musical performance of a one-of-a-kind blend of music will be featured in one show only at the Newberry Opera House Thursday at 8 p.m. Making music is nothing less than pure joy for this legendary group.

Mother’s Finest is a powerful band, but they are not typical.

The group has created sound they describe as a fusion of metafunk’n physical taken directly from the street to the stage to the studio.

Known internationally, they are incomparable and unique in their ability to bring diversity to you in live concert. They’re one of the best live bands on the planet.

In today’s world of Multiplicity, the Ethnic diversity, there is an oneness in people and music that’s always been in the sound of Mother’s Finest.

They are led by R&B singer Joyce Kennedy who is “hotter than hell,” “the finest looking woman,” and “can sing like nobody else in the world.”

Gary Moore plays guitar “laying down a rock riff,” while the bassist, Wizard Seay, “backs it with a syncopated funk bottom that makes everyone move their body.”

Kerry Denton, the drummer, “plays a beat so sweet and complete that the whole house melts down.”

True innovators, Mother’s Finest rock like no others. All their classic gems will be here.

The crown jewel is the classic Baby Love, which is simply incomparable, but every song stands on its own as a testament to the talent, energy and brilliance of this super group.

You are guaranteed to rock out with this magnificent collection.

Tickets are available at the Newberry Opera House box office.
