Newberry Rotarian Scott Cain, center, donated this American flag to the Helena Community Center. While Cain was a commander in the military and serving overseas in the Middle East, this flag was flown in combat. Cain, along with past Newberry Rotary president Melvin Evans, left and current Newberry Rotary President Lynn Cary are donating the flag to the center because they do not have an American flag. Also, before moving their meeting location to the Newberry Community Hall, the Newberry Rotary club held their meetings temporarily at the center while renovation was taking place.
