Free Community Health Fair will be held at Springfield Place, located at 2000 Springfield Circle in Newberry, on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 8-11 a.m. Various health care screenings and educational material will be offered and vendors will be on hand to discuss health products. Oktoberfest will be on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in Downtown Newberry. The chamber is sponsoring the Liver Nips contest again this year. Spaces are limited, so contact us soon to reserve your spot.

20th Annual Chamber Golf Tournament The 2012 Chamber Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, Oct. 8, at the Country Club of Newberry. Registration will take place from 11 a.m.-noon with a shotgun start to follow. A goal of $20,000 is set for the 20th year. All participants will receive a ribeye steak dinner, including two drink tickets. For those who do not play golf, additional steak dinner tickets, also including two drink tickets, are available for $25. Contest packages, a putting contest, a Dixon Golf Challenge, and great prizes will be offered. Sponsorships are now available. Contact the chamber for a brochure and additional information.
