The library is promoting Teen Read Week, sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) in a couple of ways.
The nominated books from the Teens’ Top Ten are on display in the library and students are encouraged to read as many as they can and vote online for their favorite books by Sept. 15. The link is available on the library’s web page.
Teen Read Week takes place Oct. 14-20, and the winning books of the Teens’ Top Ten will be announced by ALA. Voting is open for ages 12-18. During Teen Read Week, Laura Bouknight will be doing trivia about the Teens’ Top Ten nominees on the afternoon news show and will invite students to enter the daily contest drawing from the correct responses.
Students can pick up entry forms from the library during Teen Read Week.
