Main Street traffic in downtown Newberry has been a bit backed up last week . Despite the back up on traffic at the corner of Main and Calhoun Streets, it’s still been relatively smooth without any mishaps. While the city owns the traffic lights so that they can decorate it for the seasons, the lights are programmed by the highway department. Newberry City Manager Jeff Shacker has said he would contact the department and see if the lights need to just be reset or if some other mechanics need to be readjusted.
