HONORED — Mid-Carolina senior Alejandra Nohomi Reyes Sanchaz was honored with a ROTC medal by Elizabeth Horton Rasor, regent of the Jasper Chapter for Daughters of the American Revolution.
DISTINGUISHED — Newberry High senior Kameron DeShun Caldwell was honored with a ROTC medal by Elizabeth Horton, regent of the Jasper Chapter for Daughters of the American Revolution.
Daughters of the American Revolution National Defense committee presented ROTC medals at Newberry High and Mid-Carolina High schools senior nights.
The honor is given to a graduating student who has demonstrated academic excellence, good character, adherence to military discipline, leadership and a fundamental and patriotic understanding of the importance of reserve officer training corps.
