NEWBERRY — The Newberry College tennis teams’ doubleheader at Queens University of Charlotte to close the regular season has been moved to Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Charlotte’s Freedom Park.
This is a key match for both the men’s and women’s teams as they battle for seeding positioning in next week’s South Atlantic Conference Tournament.
On the men’s side, the Wolves will carry an 18-4 overall record and 7-3 South Atlantic Conference record into the dual. Queens is currently 8-1 in the league and is slated to face Tusculum on Friday. Additionally, the men’s match scheduled against USC Aiken has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
In women’s action, Newberry is 15-5 overall and 7-3 in the SAC. Queens is ranked 42nd nationally with a 10-2 record overall and 8-1 conference record.
