GREENWOOD — A career low round by Fredrik Fossum led the Wolves to third place after 36 holes at the Bearcat Golf Classic on Monday. Newberry shot 584 (293-291, +8) in the first two rounds.

Fossum shot a 2-under par 70 in the first round to set a career low. He followed that up with a 73 in the second round for a 1-under par 143. He is tied for fifth place in the individual standings.

Carlos Leandro is tied for 11th in the individual standings after an even par 144, including a 1-under par 71 in the opening round. Evan DeGrazia is tied for 22nd at 3-over par 147, shooting an ever par 72 in the second round.

Harry Bolton made his collegiate debut with a 6-over par 150, including a 1-over par 73 to sit in a tie for 34th. Nick Lussier is tied for 53rd at 8-over par 152 and Luke Atack is tied for 68th with a 10-over par 154 while competing as an individual.

Young Harris leads the team leaderboard at 5-under par 571 and Lincoln Memorial is one stroke ahead of the Wolves at 583. Georgia College and Wingate are tied for fourth at 587.

The final round of the Bearcat Golf Classic took place on Tuesday.
