ROCK HILL — Newberry College senior Logan Hayward has been named First Team All-South Atlantic Conference, while senior Madison Darby-McClure was named Second Team All-SAC.

Sophomore Maggie Marsh was named Honorable Mention and Toni-Anne Whitlow earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team as released by the conference office Wednesday.

Hayward is fifth in the SAC with 3.24 kills per set and has 363 total on the year. Her best game came against Lincoln Memorial where she posted 20 kills and 10 digs in a 3-2 win on Oct. 21. This is Hayward’s first time being named First Team All-SAC after twice being named honorable mention and on the All-Freshman Team.

Darby-McClure earned her first career postseason plaudit after finishing seventh in the SAC with a .278 hitting percentage. Her best game was a double-double against Queens with 16 kills and 10 digs in a 3-2 victory on Nov. 11. She was named SAC Player of the Week on Oct. 4 and was named CoSIDA Academic All-District on Nov. 3.

Marsh was named honorable mention after ranking second in the SAC with 10.05 assists per set. Marsh has twice been named SAC Specialist of the Week this season on Oct. 18 and Oct. 25. She posted a career-high 58 assists against Mars Hill on Sept. 30. This is her first career postseason honor.

Whitlow is averaging 2.28 kills per set and has notched 217 total kills this season. Her best game came against UNC Pembroke on Sept. 10 where she tallied a team-high 16 kills and a .591 hitting percentage.
