NEWBERRY — The City of Newberry Parks, Recreation & Tourism is accepting youth basketball and wrestling registration through Nov. 17. Both of these programs are open for boys and girls ages 6 to 16 with a birthday cut-off of Sept. 1.
Youth basketball will run December through February with games played at the Newberry Elementary School Gym. The cost of the program is $30 for city residents with proof of residency and $50 for non-city residents.
Youth wrestling will be instructed by Newberry College coaches and wrestlers and will take place during December and January. This will be a free program and all participants must be pre-registered through the City of Newberry. Scheduling of the two programs will not interfere with one another.
