PROSPERITY — The Mid-Carolina Rebels traveled to Chapman High School on Friday night where they were handed a 51-7 loss.

The Rebels are now 0-8 overall and 0-3 in region play. This week, the Rebels host Woodruff High School in a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. Woodruff is coming off a 31-27 win over Broome High School. Woodruff is currently 5-3 overall and 2-1 in region play.

“We didn’t play very well. We shot ourselves in the foot a couple of times and gave away a couple of plays. Their speed and athleticism got the best of us,” Coach Louie Alexander said. “Friday night, we just let too many receivers behind us. Offensively we didn’t do too well when we got in the red zone, so that’s something that we’ll have to work on this week.”

Alexander plans to go back to the drawing board this week to bring home a win Friday night.

“We haven’t played very well against Woodruff in the past,” he said. “We have our work cut out for us and we’ll look over film and go back to the drawing board during practice this week.”
