Pomaria Food Bank to open Saturday
POMARIA — The Pomaria Community Food Bank will be open for business at noon Saturday with a grand opening to celebrate. The food bank, started by Shelvy Ham, has grown to the new location in downtown Pomaria on Victoria Street behind Wilson’s Grocery. The T-ball training league at Oakland Park will be playing games at Glenn Street Baptist Church when the season starts in April. Pork in the Park has upped its winnings and there are only a few weeks are left to register for those wanting to be named as the best barbecue master in Newberry.
