Beaufort woman rescued in Lynch’s Woods
NEWBERRY — A Beaufort County woman was rescued Sunday night in Lynch’s Woods after a fallen tree incident. The woman was rescued and taken to Newberry County Memorial Hospital after a two college students reported the accident to 911 after 7 p.m. Sunday. The woman was on the horse trail in rough terrain. Newberry Elementary School, the Newberry County Literacy Program and the FAST Program gathered the community as Michael Gaskins provided helpful parenting information with a speech “Real Fathers are Dads and Real Mothers are Moms.” His speech centered around a message of love and laughter and provided helpful information about raising children in today’s society. Gaskins is CEO of Social Change Initiative in Greenwood.
